dr-villain:

It’s been nearly a year since I first made this, and nearly half a year since I sent these pictures, complete with an embarrassingly gushy fan-email, to Christine Love. I’m only now getting the courage to post these pictures online. This is my *Mute cosplay from Katsucon and Otakon 2013. In retrospect, I just wish I’d looked a little more tsundere for my pictures, but this was also my first formal photoshoot, and I was just so excited to be doing it that I couldn’t stop grinning.

For my sister and I, who are of mixed Korean descent, the Analogue series has always held a special place in our hearts. Together, we’ve spent years piecing together what stories of our heritage we can gather from photos, letters, and family rumors. The Pale Bride’s story hit extra close for us, as our own great grandma was disowned by her family after she immigrated to the US to escape an arranged marriage and some political involvement that turned dangerous.

Please, if you are reading this and haven’t played Analogue yet, you owe it to yourself to try it. There’s more good things about the series than I have words to express. Do it for the cake. Cake and girl love. :)
