Hi, I'm Christine Love! I write games with too many words in them about women and queerness and technology, and I believe strongly in the power of cuteness. You can read more about me here! And this is what I look like.

I remembered I had this url sitting around so I guess it’s my doodle blog now. Relatedly, the return of my dumb retro *Mute thing.

The 4990s are basically the same thing as the 1990s anyway

it occurs to me that, since the last time i drew *mute she was in her analogue hanbok and hair loopies, i technically haven’t done any hate plus fan art yet
so here’s a new *mute for the new year >;D

After finishing Hate Plus I ended up playing and replaying some of Christine Love’s older games. Then I drew this dork.

oh geeze, I am wildly torn between feelings of “OH MY GOD SOMEONE DID FANART OF THE VISUAL NOVEL I WROTE WHEN I WAS 17” and “oh god someone played the visual novel I wrote when I was 17”

from here

welp, pretty much now all I’m thinking of is her girlfriend sleeping with her.

Did you know that Hate Plus has hot girls in it? Because it kinda does. (Also, hot guys—I’m sure the next issue of that magazine ought to be Mimi’s chest!)

*Mute - UKSPA Outfit (Hate Plus)

oops i made more. I don’t really like the “fake pants” look on dresses, so I just went with a skirt. it looks snazzy as hell

*Mute (Hate Plus)

I’ve seen *Hyun-ae’s UKSPA uniform as well as *Mute’s Analogue outfit made for animal crossing sooo… Here’s *Mute’s Hate Plus outfit! Or, alternatively, Princess Ryu’s outfit. May do *Mute’s variant of the UKSPA outfit (and maybe a top version for people to wear pants with) as well as *Hyun-ae’s other outfits.

Too much *Mute! Aaaaaaaaaah!
So, Analogue: A Hate Story and its sequel, Hate Plus are some pretty interesting and immersive games. They’re virtual novels that really make super efficient use of a purposely limited interface, allow you to delve into a really intricate and frightening backstory full of mystery, depravity and corruption, and interact with a few real fun characters with some unique views and throughout it. Most of the game is reading through logs. Loooots of reading, yeah, but some entries can be really vicious. Even the more passive ones are fun thanks to your AI partner reading over your shoulder and providing their own reactions and input.
Good times!
